Representation to Government

Through the relationship with the Federation of Sports and Play Associations (FSPA) we represent the industry on a variety of issues affecting the sector and member companies. The API is a founder member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on a Fit and Healthy Childhood.

 

Credit Information Service

We provide a confidential monthly analysis of bad debtors which is distributed to contributing members.

Through the dedicated members only section we circulate sales leads and tender opportunities generated from online enquiries.

The API produces a weekly members’ update providing the latest business news and information.

 

Input into the development of current and new industry standards and guidance

API has representation on various BS and CEN product standard committees e.g. SW65 relating to Play Equipment and Safety Surfacing. Members can input into the creation and review of these documents which affect their industry.

 

Regular networking opportunities

Members are invited to attend various API events throughout the year including the Annual General Meeting and Dinner in April and the Members’ General Meeting later in the year.

 

Training

API arranges information exchange opportunities enabling members to keep abreast of current Standards changes and interpretation issues along with other relevant industry-specific workshops, seminars and training.

How to join the API?

The API welcomes applications from any UK manufacturer, designer, installer and distributor of indoor and outdoor play equipment and safety surfacing which meet the current application process for membership. read more
