Wicksteed Playgrounds is happy to announce the appointment of Katherine Perkins as its new Managing Director. Kathy has worked for Wicksteed for an amazing 34 years and brings a wealth of industry knowledge to the role. Wicksteed is delighted to have somebody that has shown so much dedication and loyalty to the company take the reins.
Wicksteed Playgrounds is the UK’s biggest supplier and manufacturer of outdoor playground equipment. The company has been based at the same location in Kettering, Northants since 1876 and employs over 160 people. Wicksteed has recently restarted production at its factory after a brief shutdown due to COVID-19 and has produced detailed safe working procedures that must be adhered to keep everyone as safe as possible. Having survived 2 world wars the company is in a great position to see out the current COVID-19 crisis and is looking forward to welcoming children back to its play areas in the not so distant future.
