The Role
As part of HAGS UK’s Sales Operations team, the Sales Operations Manager will be responsible for over-seeing the day-to-day operations of the sales office and the direct reports of the sales administration and internal sales team. Playing a pivotal role in supporting the whole commercial team to achieve order and revenue targets. This role combines administrative management, customer service, and sales coordination duties alongside strategic development and growth of the internal sales function ensuring alignment between sales operations and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire and mentor a team of five office-based Sales Administrators and one Sales Administration Team Leader to support the attainment of the departments quotes and sales targets, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Create, implement and evolve an internal Sales Operations strategy which aligns to the businesses core objectives, and leverages tools and resources effectively to deliver efficiencies in productivity and effective execution through improved quote to sales conversion
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with HAGS’ existing external partners in national procurement and tendering services. To better understand their needs, and develop a win-win professional partnership
  • Develop, manage and see maintained a best in class bid library and system relevant to the UK play industry, and HAGS’ customer needs and expectations. Working with internal and external stakeholders to support and facilitate this.
  • Oversee the management, maintenance and evolution of the CRM system specific to sales operation activities, those associated with administration functions to enable effective works scheduling, reporting and process optimisation.
  • Analyse sales data and prepare regular performance reports for presentation to the UK’s senior leadership team.
  • Supporting marketing initiatives and campaigns through cross department collaboration, to enable campaign tracking, performance metrics and inform marketing investment decisions.

Skills and Qualifications 

  • Proven experience in a sales management role, specifically that of an internal sale, and sales administration team and with the ability to evidence continued year on year growth which supports the wider business objectives
  • Strong people, leadership and team management skills
  • An understanding of, or experience within the UK Play Industry, and/or knowledge and experience of key sales markets, most notably the public sector Local Authority market
  • Experience or a background within Bid Management / Procurement and preferably evidence of training/qualifications held e.g. APMP, would be desirable
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics and KPI’s.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
