Playdale Playgrounds recently held an outdoors celebration to honor not only their long-serving Contracts Manager, Michael Marsden, on his retirement but also to recognise some of the more long-serving members of the Playdale family.
Michael, or “Mardy” to his friends, has spent 37 great years at Playdale and will be much missed by everyone in the Playdale family. Another 16 team members have been with the company for over 20 years, including Chairman and Founder John Croasdale, and his sister, Director Gill Croasdale. Together, this select group of Playdale staff have over 400 years of service and experience within the company, providing continuity and stability, and making smiles throughout their time at Playdale.
Barry Leahey MBE, CEO at Playdale took the opportunity to thank the long-standing team members, expressing that “It was a real pleasure to present gifts of appreciation to every member of the team who had been with us for over 20 years along with Mike’s extra special gift. Without these people, their passion and care, the work we do would not be possible. We hope to continue to build memories with all members of our family at Playdale.”
Those honored in the celebration were invited to share their memories of Playdale and Michael who was presented with a personalised Storytelling Chair as a reminder of his time at Playdale.
