Educational Play Environments are looking to recruit a suitable candidate to join their business at an exciting stage of growth supporting the sales and customer relationship side of the business.

As one of the UK’s most exciting and award winning businesses now firmly established within the play industry after 12 years of consistent growth and expansion we require the successful candidate to bring a dynamic and energetic mindset able to carry out the following role.

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing effective strategies to generate leads, build relationships with potential customers, and meet agreed sales targets. The successful candidate will work closely with the sales team, marketing team, and senior management to identify new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and manage ongoing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and pursue them through effective lead generation and relationship building.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, understanding their needs and delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Carry out on site consultations and survey areas using digital and manual methods
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals and ensure timely follow-up and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective sales collateral, promotional materials, and online content.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify potential areas of growth or risk for the business.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to increase the company’s exposure and develop business relationships.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis of sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • A deep understanding of sales and marketing principles, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies to meet sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
