Based in: North of England
Contact name: Charlotte Stanton

About Us:
With our 13 years of practical experience and understanding of how children learn through play, we have created our independently owned brand, Phoenix
Play.
Great learning spaces are about creating those “lightbulb” moments that help shape how children learn, and this is why our strapline is ‘Stories Start Here.’
At Phoenix Play we work closely with educators, to design playgrounds that are purpose driven, fun spaces that inspire a love of learning, where children can express themselves, keep fit and active, making lasting friendships and stories! Every climbing frame, EYFS outdoor setting, and outdoor classroom, is more than just that, it’s a gateway to discovery, confidence, and a love of lifelong learning.
At Phoenix, our mission is ‘Stories Start Here.’ To make this happen we all work together, your role with us will be working within the Sales Team as an Outdoor Learning Consultant when no two days are the same.
What can we offer?
Do you want a career that is fun, creative and makes a difference? We specialise in helping schools and nurseries to develop their outdoor learning environment. We are a fast-growing business who are incredibly passionate about what we design and create for children of the future. We have worked hard to build a fantastic team who are dedicated, hardworking and fun, making it really great and enjoyable place to work where everyone feels valued and respected.
Our main office is located in Bristol (BS32). The role we are seeking is a remote based role covering Northern territories of the UK. We are expanding our reach across the country and due to customer demand, we are creating this exciting opportunity for the right person to join the team. You will split your time between attending meetings at schools and completing admin and design work from home. The balance of days will vary week to week depending on school availability and business needs, typically an equal mix of field-based and home-based days over a fortnight, following your initial training.
What the job entails?
You will work as part of our sales team as an Outdoor Learning Consultant, under the guidance of Head of Sales and Business Development.
Project opportunities are generated through online marketing, our website, and word-of-mouth referrals. The Internal Sales team will have already spoken with the enquiring school or nursery to understand their play area vision and ensure the opportunity is at the appropriate stage for a design meeting.
The next stage involves visiting the school or nursery in person to discuss the space in greater detail. During site visits, you will be required to listen carefully to the client’s requirements, understand their objectives, and creatively suggest additional ways to optimise the space to enhance learning and play opportunities.
Once costs have been calculated and a quotation provided to the school or nursery, you will be responsible for producing a detailed plan for our visualisation team to develop into a final design.
We are currently looking for someone who will look after the proposed territories in the North of the UK.
The role will require strong written and verbal communication skills to build lasting rapport and relationships with the schools we work with. You will be encouraged to use your imagination to creatively translate customers’ ideas into a playground environment making their dreams become a reality for their school.
You will be fully supported and given the appropriate training to fulfil the following tasks:
What kind of skills and experience do I need?
We offer tailored 1:1 support from the get-go, so you’ll have time to learn and get comfortable with the role. To truly be successful in the role, ideally, you will have the below experience:
