As the Project Manager, your role will be to:
- Management of Play Park, Outdoor Fitness and Sport Areas installation
- Coordination of, and monitoring HAGS’ sub-contractor network for quality and competency throughout installation, to ensure company brand service levels and standards are maintained
- Proactive reporting to Head of Contracts to ensure that monthly, quarterly and annual invoicing targets are exceeded, resulting from project management activities through initial inception to practical completion.

What you’ll do as our Project Manager:
- Work alongside HAGS’ Contract Departments back office to plan and co-ordinate project installations. Namely, assessing scope of works, appointing sub-contractors, and co-ordinating fixed start dates.
- Work with HAGS’ Operations and Sales functions to proactively align equipment availability with installation start dates, whilst communicating with and managing client expectations.
- Undertake Prestart meetings on every project with key stakeholders, namely HAGS Sales, Sub-Contractors and its Clients.
- Effectively manage the installation phase from commencement, throughout and ultimately to project handover by way of on-site meeting attendance, and Client sign off.
- Provide frequent and timely project updates to the Client, HAGS’ Sales Team and Head of Contracts in all/any needed communication forms i.e. Phone, Email and site meetings.
- Maintain positive working relationships with HAGS’ sub-contractors, undertaking regular visits to site during the build phase to monitor progress against programme and check installation quality.
- Manage and monitor all product / material and other required deliveries to meet planned start dates, whilst proactively managing all challenges presented which may otherwise cause deviation from the project build phase planned dates.
- Ensure all progress visits and on site issues are photographed, with written communication completed and forwarded to the Client, Area Manager and Head of Contracts within 24 hours of attendance on site.
- To produce project specific Health and Safety and Risk Assessments (RAMS) documentation for all projects, ensuring client and sub-contractor adoption whilst maintaining adherence to RAMS through the project installation phase.
- Support HAGS’ in field Sales people on project specific guidance and assistance pertaining to site particulars e.g. site levels, drainage, services, access, and other similar examples.
- Ensure all project snags/defects are closed within 7 days of Site completion, allowing for timely and effective handover back to clients.
- Attendance and proactive participation in Department team meetings.
As a Project Manager, you will be:
- SMSTS (Site Managers Safety Training Scheme) accredited – desirable
- Ability to travel to all North England regions as project locations permit.
- Excellent communicator across all mediums i.e. Phone, Email, and in person
- Project management experience within the construction industry
- Ability to effectively time manage and handle multiple projects at any one time
- Accountability, integrity and honesty
- Forward thinking, and ability to provide solutions to project challenges – think on their feet
