Salary Range £30k – £33 basic, bonus scheme, 25 days holiday plus benefits

As a key factor in our growth strategy, this new role reflects the increasing company and customer emphasis on the importance of maintaining the equipment to a high standard and most critically, securing the safety of all playground sites for which we are responsible.  Ultimately therefore, our objective is to ensure the safety of our younger generation.  Whilst the role, is based from home, there will be a need to attend our Milton Keynes office as and when required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Role: Covering South London, Kent and Essex regions and be responsible for scheduled play area repairs and inspections to Play Equipment and ideally based in the Croydon area of SE London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide regular operational inspections to our existing customer base
  • To conduct operational inspections, risk assessments as specified in BSEN1176.
  • Completing inspection reports in a timely manner, following an inspection
  • Undertaking general play area maintenance, which involves metal, woodworking and painting (welding skills would be an advantage) if necessary. Surfacing repair experience would also be advantageous.

Key Competencies/Qualifications:

  • Good fitting or assembly type skills and if possible, welding experience is desirable, preferably within a similar equipment maintenance environment
  • Understanding of costs and time required to undertake remedial works
  • A problem solver with good customer service and communication skills
  • Good communication and reporting skills
  • A self-motivated individual who continually keeps abreast of industry and safety requirement changes
  • Ability to travel on a daily basis, so a full & relatively clean driving licence is required
  • Desirable to possess RPII Operational inspection accreditation, although training will be provided for an outstanding candidate with no playground experience
