Description of the job and the department
This role is generally based at our Milton Keynes office and is part of a team of Sales Support Coordinators and Designers whose primary function is to assist our field-based Area Sales Managers in quoting, ordering and selling to our existing and new customers.

Primary Responsibilities and Tasks
This role is the key point of contact for Area Sales Managers selling into the House Builder / New Homes Developer market and takes responsibility to coordinate all project quotations and design planning works that form our offer and bid pack.

  • Interpretation of ASM Design Brief & our clients’ landscape drawings into the Kompan bid
  • Creates the 2D Kompan design layout in compliance with industry safety standards
  • Produces design plans to support the client’s planning application and/ or adoption & buying process
  • Raising and processing product variant requests to HQ when bespoke products are required
  • Creates the construction drawings for project wins
  • Undertakes project pricing, including quantifying and outsourcing 3rd party pricing as required
  • Creates the final client quote pack using the KOMPAN Quoting systems, ensuring accurate costs and sales prices are inputted correctly for all elements of the playground project to flow through to the delivery & construction stages of work.
  • Uses Word and PowerPoint templates as required to create bespoke bid packs when required.
  • Sees sales process through to conclusion by converting successful quotes into orders and raises prepayment invoices as required by company policy.
  • Hands over installation orders to the Aftersales Department with all relevant project information.
  • Works simultaneously on multiple projects, prioritising workload in communication with the Area Sales Managers and colleagues to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Is responsible for collating and saving all relevant data and information from a variety of sources into shared project folders so any member of the team can pick up a project & understand the details.
  • Maintains accurate data in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Navision (MRP) business systems from the outset of a new or existing project.
  • Liaison across other departments and with senior management is also required.

Other Responsibilities
Takes responsibility for completing simple project construction drawings for other sectors where the Area Sales Manager as acted as designer for the project.

From time to time you may be asked to take on other tasks by your Team Leader or a member of the Management team. Such tasks will be described to you as required on an ad-hoc basis and as appropriate to your skills/ ability level and workload.

Depending on the workload across the team you may be required to share out your tasks or take on additional tasks from other Sales Coordinators or Designers to ensure all project deadlines are met.

Competencies & Behaviours
To be successful in this role a candidate or employee must demonstrate the following;

Technical Skills

  • Competent & independent user of AutoCAD
  • Some experience with Photoshop & CRM systems is an advantage
  • Excellent mathematical understanding & competency with pricing software tools

Experience

  • Experience in play space design or related design industry (e.g. landscape design)
  • Estimating and pricing of landscaping construction works
  • Some understanding of play safety standards and installation methods is an advantage
  • Experience of working alongside a house-builder client base is an advantage to ensure the requirements of the client sector are understood & met

Working hours: 8.30am until 5pm, Mon-Thurs & 8.30 – 4.30 Friday
Salary: Competitive basic salary plus quarterly bonus
