As a key factor in our growth strategy, this new role reflects the increasing company and customer emphasis on the importance of developing relationships and supportive partnerships across the Architect sector.  This role is therefore responsible for the liaison with architects; development of awareness of the KOMPAN’s products and services and the generation of sales opportunities within the sector where KOMPAN’s “unique” and “custom products will be best suited and with the focus on the London and the South East region.  The Architect Sales person will co-ordinate opportunities within the Park and Recreation (P&R) team to ensure we further develop and support architectural partnerships and key account opportunities and to consequently facilitate orders from the main contractor / contractors.


The Role: Working with the architectural sector and covering London and the South East region and ideally based in the area and to work closely with our Sales, Marketing, Sales Support, Design, KOMPAN Design Studio (KDS) and Installation teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a database of key accounts and key contacts for Architects and Key Accounts (that meet the profile) by self-generated activities and with the support of marketing.
  • Work with marketing to run successful e-shot campaigns and improve our SEO, SEM and SOME to generate new contacts and sales leads
  • Create and deliver “inspiring” presentations (CPDs) to the target customers, either virtually or face to face
  • Minimum 3 days per week in front of customers to build and maintain relationships and find new opportunities; comfortable selling into all levels of an organisation
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline that will deliver £1m+ of orders in two years
  • Work closely with the P&R team on all opportunities to convert leads to orders
  • Work closely with the UK and KDS teams to create amazing designs
  • Full CRM update responsibility for the above activities

Key Competencies/Qualifications:

  • Degree level education, must be professional, articulate and numerate
  • A problem solver with good customer service and communication skills
  • Good communication and reporting skills
  • Stable and progressive career
  • A self-motivated individual who reflects the professionalism of the architectural sector
  • Ideally will possess experience and knowledge of the architectural sector
  • Extensive experience of CRM and management reporting systems
  • Ability to travel on a daily basis, so a full & relatively clean driving licence is required
