Wicksteed’s natural playscape theme at SALTEX
Wicksteed Playscapes didn’t let a rather windy few days down on Windsor Racecourse dampen their spirits!
True to form Stand F1 outshone the competition by professionally displaying how to successfully blend fixed and natural play together.

Taking centre stage this year was Wicksteed’s Woodland multi-play system, with tube slides, tunnels, rope towers and bridges, interweaving the natural look of rope and timber with the strength of steel and innovatively building it into natural landscaping and mounds. This display showed how play equipment can be tailor made to accommodate any given site to enhance the natural environment, or artificially created to provide a more exciting landscape for children to enjoy.

The student-designed Tropical Breeze roundabout also created a lot of interest as did the unique animal mobiles and Wicksteed’s new and exciting triple-spinning new roundabout, G-Force which caused visitors great hilarity as they were sent quite dizzy with the exhilarating g-force sensation!
Seminars on the revisions to European Safety Standards, given twice daily by Wicksteed were very well received as was the popular prize draw which gave 3 lucky winners a piece of play equipment.
- Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council won a Teacup Twister ~ the ideal addition to any play area for kids aged 2-5;
- Syston Town Council were delighted to be the recipients of a Wildcats Premier Goal Module, which will prove to be extremely popular with their Youth Programme activities,
- Basildon District Council won a Zig Zag Twister for a play area of their choice.
