Wicksteed Playground has built a reputation for creating wonderfully bespoke play areas across the UK and can bring a community’s history or significant local theme into the playground. One of the latest bespoke projects to be completed is in Brickfields Park in Warrington where a giant rugby ball shaped climbing Rockscape sits at the heart of the £161k play area – children can challenge themselves to scramble over the giant rugby ball using moulded hand and foot holds which are positioned at different levels. The play scheme includes a 20m steel Cableway, Pendulum Swing, an Xtreme multi-play unit from the XS teens range and a Swirl inclusive roundabout!

The upgraded site also includes a new older children’s play area, outdoor gym and fenced dog exercise area plus the replacement of equipment in the younger children’s play zone. Both the rugby ball and surfacing use the Warrington Wolves blue and yellow club colours.

Laura Stanley, Principal Project Manager at Warrington Council, said: “Rugby is at the heart of Warrington and Brickfields Park is just a stone’s throw from the Warrington Wolves Stadium. Wicksteed Playgrounds provided us with an innovative, creative area for the community with a great rugby theme.”

Our Rockscapes can be made into any shape and our design team can create a fantastic eye-catching addition to your local play area and are great fun to climb on!
