Sutcliffe Play appoints new Managing Director
Following the announcement earlier this year of Robin
Sutcliffe’s planned retirement as Managing Director of
Sutcliffe Play; the company is delighted to announce the
appointment of
Viv Jebson, Sutcliffe Play’s current Marketing & Sales
Director as its new Managing Director.
Viv Jebson will formally begin the role on 7 July 2008 with the
full support of Robin Sutcliffe who will remain in the company full
time until the end of September.
Viv joined Sutcliffe Play in 2005, with many years experience in
consumer, retail and business to business markets, working in both
small family businesses and large PLC’s.
Robin says: “I am delighted by this appointment. After
working with Viv over the last three years I know her commitment to
the ethos of honesty, inclusivity and enthusiasm in Sutcliffe Play,
and that she shares the passions and aspirations of her fellow
managers to develop the business going forward.
“In my new part time role as Chairman there will be no
reduction in my commitment to maintain the quality and integrity of
Sutcliffe Play.” concludes Robin.
Robin has been involved with the Sutcliffe family business for
over 25 years and became Managing Director in the early
1980s. Since then he has worked tirelessly to champion the
cause of play in both the UK and overseas.
Viv looks forward to continuing Robin’s work: “Robin
