Indoor Play Area Completely Refurbished by Sport & Play
After ten years of hard use, the indoor play areas at Fishers Farm Park in Wisborough Green, West Sussex, were looking somewhat tired. However, rather than purchase a new system, Sport & Play recommended a complete refurbishment. At the same time, the opportunity was taken to further improve the area with the latest health and safety recommendations.
At Fishers Farm Park, there are four indoor play zones suitable for a wide age range, from toddlers through to eleven year olds. These include three multi-level play structures and also three soft play areas. As a result, the indoor facilities can cater for a wide variety of age groups from toddlers through to eleven year olds.
The park also has some challenging outdoor adventure and play areas plus a number of giant trampolines, a climbing wall, slides, inflatables and even a beach! As the name suggests, Fishers also offers a farmyard experience to its visitors with a wide variety of animals to experience and tractor rides around the farm. Indeed they have recently won Farm attraction of the year!
Sport & Play’s involvement with Fishers Farm Park started with a very thorough audit and assessment of all their play facilities. A comprehensive report was provided including photographs of elements needing attention, together with a series of recommendations.
The refurbishment of the indoor play areas involved complete management of the project, ensuring that all of the latest health and safety recommendations were fully complied with. The frames of the base structures were completely stripped and new padding and nets incorporated. This included use of Sport & Play’s unique approach to ensuring that the netting is completely secured by overlapping around the framework.
The farm park was able to remain open throughout the project as different zones were closed, one at a time, for the makeover. The project was both started and finished on time leading to minimal disruption to operations. Additional features were included into the indoor play area, including biff bags, log ramps, tendrils, character bags, etc. Also, more soft landing areas were incorporated.
Mr Tim Rollings, the proprietor of Fishers Farm Park, has been very impressed by Sport & Play’s management and handling of the total project.
