Lion Salt Works, Cheshire
A part of this restoration project was to develop a specific play feature, a bespoke play chimney.  Lion Salt Works is the last remaining open pan saltworks in Cheshire, closed in 1986 and today preserved as a museum. Due to its historical interest, it’s considered one of Britain’s newest heritage attractions, awarded with£10 million towards a comprehensive restoration plan.

Alton Towers, Staffordshire

Alton Towers has unveiled a new £450,000 children’s play area – affectionately entitled ‘There’s Something in the Dung Heap’ – to enhance the popular Old MacDonald’s Farm area of the theme park. The Toxic Bog is ideal for children who love to slip, slide, bounce, or balance. It features a bunch of Teetering Toadstool Boingupons, as well as Jumping Gerberas and a slide into the bog itself. It is also home to the Wobbly Walk rotating beam.

The Big Apple, Rotherham
A New York themed play area in Rotherham is an interesting theme but perhaps a little random. Rotherham has strong links to the real Big Apple as the old Guest and Chrimes Foundry, which was based in the region, actually made the distinctive fire hydrants which are dotted around the streets of New York, USA.

New Multi-Use Games Area for Amble Links Holiday Park

Inspiring Playscapes in Berlin- Freiheitsweg Play Area
In the north of Berlin in Freiheitsweg, in the district of Reinickendorf, an area of more than 1500 m² situated alongside the Füchse Berlin Club sports ground has been transformed into a theme park for all generations. Sand and water play delights at ‘The Ice Cream Farm’
Visitors were delighted by new play experiences, including an extensive indoor sand and water play area created by Sutcliffe Play, at the opening of a tourist attraction in Cheshire following a multi-million pound redevelopment. Sutcliffe Play designed and installed what is thought to be the largest indoor sand and water play area in Europe at The Ice Cream Farm in Tattenhall, which already attracts more than 500,000 visitors a year to sample its award-winning Cheshire Farm Ice Cream.

Edinburgh Zoo fits new Enclosure
Stakeholders at The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) had a plan to expand its Tiger Enclosure at Edinburgh Zoo recently; they turned to play specialist eibe to provide the solution.   Edinburgh Zoo is situated on an 82-acre park in Edinburgh, Scotland. Built in 1913, well over half a million visitors pass through its gates each year, making it the nation’s second most popular paid-for tourist attraction after Edinburgh Castle.

Making History Come to Life at Warwick Castle  
In a fantastic concept to portray the history of Warwick Castle, the Horrible Histories maze has been billed as one of the UK’s most exciting new attractions of 2016, and we are so proud to have been a part of it. Adapting the well-loved children’s books by Terry Deary, the maze is a fun approach to telling the story of Warwick Castle and its inhabitants throughout the years. Drusillas Park, Splashpad
A Caribbean/Nature themed Splashpad which utilizes products from our Nature Collection that uses organic shapes and colours transforming the Splashpad into an exotic play environment keeping in line with the zoo’s theming. Recreating The Queen Elizabeth Air Craft Carrier
Working on behalf of Proludic, RTC Safety Surfaces recently recreated the Queen Elizabeth Air Craft Carrier in wet pour safety surfacing. The project was part of the new play area at the Fleet Air Arm Museum in Somerset, with the design including multiple graphics as well as an F35 Stealth jet. All of RTC’s installation teams are trained in-house to deliver high quality bespoke graphics and relished working on such an unusual project.

New Surfacing for Edgbaston Reservoir

Champion new playground opens in Olympic Park, Beijing
An incredible new play area opened last year at the former Olympic Park site in Beijing, China. Beijing Olympic Park is where the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and Paralympics took place. Since the games it has been transformed into a comprehensive multifunctional activity centre for the public. The park successfully integrates sport with nature and this playground site inside the park is surrounded by beautiful greenery and woodland. Dippy’s Splash Zone
This Splashpad was inspired by Dippy the Dinosaur the mascot and most popular attraction at Dinosaur Adventure Park. The installation included the manufacture and installation of 6 bespoke ‘Dippys friends’ which were attached to a range of waterplay products across the splash zone. Furthermore, the waterplay products paint finish and EPDM surfacing was also customized to match the colours and shapes of Dippy the Dinosaur giving users a more immersive and adventurous play experience for when Dippy is asleep!!

Weymouth Sea Life Centre’s New Safety Surfacing
Working in conjunction with Playdale we installed nearly 900m² of wet pour safety surfacing at Weymouth Sea Life Centre’s new Caribbean Cove – the biggest adventure park in Devon. The depth of the EPDM was varied from 20mm to 130mm across the site, in relation to the Critical Fall Height of the play equipment in line with European safety standards.
