"I am sure you are aware of the tremendous inflationary
pressures we are all facing – rising steel prices, energy
costs, fuel bills and increasing wage demands.
All these factors have considerably increased the costs of
suppliers such as ourselves – in this situation it is the
norm to increase prices to cover increased costs and I am sure that
you have been made aware that most if not all of the major
suppliers in our industry have advised significant interim price
increases.
At Record RSS we pride ourselves on our innovative products
and business thinking, therefore, we have taken a different
approach – firstly we believe that it is the responsibility
of every competent supplier to explore all possibilities to reduce
their own costs before resorting to ad hoc price increases.
We also have taken the view that rather than try to minimise our
manufacturing costs by finding lower cost countries to manufacture
our products, the correct long term strategy for our business is to
invest in equipment to strengthen our own manufacturing
capabilities.
To this end we expect delivery of new manufacturing
equipment valued at £75,000 to be in place in the next 2 -3
weeks, this coupled with internal efficiency gains has allowed us
to avoid passing any price increase onto you, our valued
Customer. For all orders received and delivered before the
end of September this year we guarantee our list prices will not
increase"
