Designing for play - creating playable spaces
The Presentation will look at what makes a good place for play. How   can we make public spaces more playable and welcoming for children? We believe in taking a design-led approach to the creation of   playable space. Play spaces should make use of natural elements, be well located, have flexibility built into the layout, be accessible, allow for change and evolution, meet community needs, and build in opportunities for risk and challenge.  This yields in our view far better, richer playable spaces, ones that evoke a sense of place and enhance  the local environment.
