Full Steam Ahead for Pendlewood & Bredbury Green Primary School

Pendlewood Ltd and the children of Bredbury Green Primary School in Stockport are on the right track to fun with Pendlewood’s latest amazing playground design: The Pendlewood Express.

The ambitious and groundbreaking play structure was launched at a recent open day that had pupils of all ages and staff excited about a first class train that was delivered on-time.

Designed specifically by Pendlewood’s team of experts with the pupils’ educational needs in mind, this imaginative creation will challenge children of all ages mentally and physically, although the emphasis is on having as much fun as possible.

The Pendlewood Express is an epic design. It is approximately 2 metres high and includes a climbing net, a chill out zone and an incredible slide tube it can take children on a journey to wherever they dare to imagine.

James Manion, Pendlewood Installation Manager said: “The whole project really stretched our imaginations as we had to design, build and install a full size steam train and still be fun and educational.”

“The open day especially will always stay with me. The reception and welcome thaLittle girl enjoying the slide exit of the Pendlewood Express t the pupils and staff greeted their train and the Pendlewood team made for an amazing experience.”

As can be seen from the surrounding pictures, hundreds of children at Bredbury agree that this is a train that is definitely worth hopping on board. The launch day was a huge success as the Train’s arrival was greeted with a musical performance from Bredbury pupils.

The idea originated from the Bredbury Green Primary school as it is featured on their school logo.

It is not only the pupils of Bredbury Green that will be able to enjoy the Train though. The playgrounds are used by many local community groups as well.
