Natural Born Thrillers
Pendlewood Ltd, the Lancashire based natural play specialists, have taken activity based playtimes to exciting new levels thanks to our latest play & climb structure – the Paradigm – which was recently installed at a Manchester primary school.
The impressive and ambitious design is packed with a number of exciting physical and mental challenges for the youngsters at the Old Hall Primary School.
The Paradigm, which possesses a unique, natural look, brought so much excitement to Old Hall that it was formally opened at a special challenge by local MP, Sir Gerald Kauffman. Sir Gerald was extremely impressed with what he saw, saying: “I have had a great time opening this wonderful playground.”

The Paradigm is based around 3 with platforms of differing heights, each with its own unique challenges and obstacles, while there are activities linking the towers together too.
The multitude of tasks and challenges for the children include a 3 metre high curved ladder, parallel bars, a Rope V-Bridge and a Climb Crossing Ladder. The Pendlewood revamped playground is boosted too by a colourful softplay area surrounding the Paradigm, which hopes to stimulate the pupils’ imagination and encourage creative play..JPG)
Old Hall Headteacher Jane Gornall said the whole school was delighted with the play structure. She exclaimed: “The staff, parents and children here at Old Hall Primary School are absolutely delighted with the exiting new Paradigm play structure. It has made playtime much more fun, educationally relevant and on top of that the children are learning new physical and social skills.”
Pendlewood Managing Director, Alan Pendlewood feels the Paradigm has already become a groundbreaking and flagship product. He enthused: “The Paradigm is part of our ongoing commitment to designing and producing the finest natural play and climb structures. What sets it apart from the crowd is the huge variety of activities on offer for the children – it really is natural play at its most worthy, ambitious and exciting.”
