We recently commissioned independent research to compare the 'whole-life' costs of different types of play surfaces, incluidng L.I.A.S., grass matrix, wet pour rubber and rubber tiles. The findings clearly demonstrated that for the chosen area, taking into account installation, maintenance and disposal, that Melcourt L.I.A.S. was by far the lowest whole-life cost option.
