Local Company in Dalby Dash

Playground Company Record RSS have taken part in the British Heart Foundation sponsored bike ride. The event was held in Dalby Forest on Sunday 10 June.

There are 2.6million people living with debilitating heart and circulatory disease in the UK and heart disease is responsible for more deaths than any other single cause. It is the aim of The British heart Foundation to raise awareness and to influence decision makers, as well as raise money for research.

All outdoor activity is good for us and keeps us fit and healthy. The British Heart Foundation recommends we are moderately active for at least 30 minutes five days a week. This can be through anything from cycling and walking, to gardening and vacuuming. To get your children interested, take them to the park to play football or go in the playground.

The event is being supported by Selby based playground company, Record RSS.  The team managed to raise a total of £258.50 from colleagues, friends and family, and are proud to have taken part.

Douglas Belfield, Sales Director says “As a playground company we know that outdoor play is not only fun for the children, but is also really good for them.  We want to help keep hearts healthy.”

If you would like to do your bit, the BHF runs events all year round. The next cycle ride in the Yorkshire region is on 14 October which is a 20 mile ride around in Doncaster. If cycling is not for you, there is a walking event on 29 July around the Yorkshire three peaks (near Ribblesdale, North Yorkshire), or a Leeds to Skipton walk (of varying lengths depending on ability) in September.
