Setting the Standards

The new European Safety Standard for Free Access Neighbourhood Sports Facilities, commonly known as Multi Use Games Area’s (MUGA’s) has now been passed and coded EN15312. Playdale are delighted to announce that their timber/aluminium Agorespace range of Multi Sports Courts comply fully with this standard.

Multi-sports facilities are becoming evermore popular and with the new European Standard now in place, this ensures that they are as safe as possible for users, predominantly children and teenagers. Playdale Playgrounds Ltd is the UK agent for Agorespace, the creators of this concept who have over 2000 reference sites across Europe. There is a vast range of Multi sport concepts available that apply to this new safety standard that suit all areas and budgets. Please contact Playdale for your free brochure.

EN15312 is extremely important as it insists that a wide range of factors in the design, manufacture and installation of these facilities is rigorously checked. For example the structural integrity of the walls of the product against footballs and kicks is tested intensely. Potential hazards are also checked for example all welds must be smooth and threaded studs must be covered.
