Stock Module Satisfaction in South Hams

Public Sector Software (PSS) began working in partnership with South Hams approximately18 months ago. The project was to expand the functionality of StaySafe – an asset management solution for Local Authority owned assets, to allow them to manage their building maintenance service and stock control of materials.

StaySafe works on the simple principle that not only must you have a clear and detailed record of your assets but you must be able to carry out maintenance inspections and manage the output of these inspections through to completion –appropriately, efficiently and effectively.

Expanding the functionality of StaySafe to manage buildings included the development of an asset specific checklist and finding specific tasks which were mapped for ease of use into the existing software. Additional fields were also added to meet South Hams particular requirements in terms of the information they wished to store for their building assets.

             

Stock functionality took the software to the next level. A highly detailed and cleverly linked tool which enabled the full management of all stock and storerooms data.

Key Stock Functionality Highlights:

• Keeps an accurate record of all stock held in there depot/department/vans
• Manages all goods in and out
• Update stock records with new products (stock takes)
• Records unit price of all stock
• Transfers the cost of labour to tasks
• Transfers the cost of materials to tasks
• Add invoices from external contractors to tasks

The tool can be used in conjunction with any of the assets you hold within your StaySafe (or PSS’s sister product PlaySafe) database and it proving to be a popular addition with PSS’s current clients.
