Playground Services designed, supplied and installed Oakfield ARC play area on the Isle of Wight which has now won top prize in the national Biffawards. The project received its award through the community outdoor recreation category.
The development provided £ 100,000 of play equipment for all age ranges including inclusive play equipment, a teen area and a ball court. The community were involved throughout the planning process and the views of local school children influenced the final design.
The completed area attracts over 15,000 visitors per annum and has been an outstanding success. The organisers now have an additional £ 7,000 prize money from Biffawards to spend on future works.
